Katie King CircleHello Everyone! One of my favorite things to buy at arts and crafts shows is handmade signs! This is because I love how an artist might hand write a quote or draw an adorable illustration. I have tried making my own handmade signs but since I'm not a great drawer and I don’t necessarily care for my handwriting, they have always turned out a little odd. So, how do we solve this problem? Well, we get out our favorite adhesive tools and stickers! Today, I am going to show you how to create a Sparkle Wooden Sign using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L! If you are unfamiliar with Scrapbook Adhesives they are a company that designs adhesives for the crafting industry. Some of the products they are best known for are their tape runners, mounting squares, 3D form products and adhesive dots. In today’s project, I will be using their tape runner and adhesive dots. This Sparkle Wooden Sign is designed to be super easy to put together. For instances, to create this sign, I used a pack of Paper House’s enamel stickers. These stickers were my main focal point and I literally apply them in the same pattern that they were in on the sticker sheet. By doing this method, I didn’t waste time on figuring out a design and I was able to create a cute sign in under 30 minutes! Sparkle Wooden Sign with Scrapbook Adhesive by 3L To create your own Sparkle Wooden Sign, you would do the following: Step 1 Step 1: Cut out a piece of scrapbook paper that will fit your wooden sign. Then, using the Scrapbook Adhesives E-Z Runner, glue your paper onto your wooden sign. For my wooden sign, I used a piece a scrapbook paper from Paper House's Color Washed 12’’ Paper Pad. Note: I did paint my wooden sign before I began this step. However, painting your wooden sign is totally optional. Step 2 Step 2: Grab your sticker sheet and begin adding each sticker to your wooden sign. While doing this step, you can either place your stickers (on your wooden sign) just like how they are on the sticker sheet or you can make up a whole new design. For my wooden sign, I used Paper House’s Lucky Cat Faux Enamel Stickers. Step 3 Step 3: To add some sparkle to my wooden sign and to tie in the gold enameling (that is around the stickers), I decided to add gold glitter using Scrapbook Adhesives Mini Dots (0.2 in or 5mm size). To do this, all I did was add 7 dots in random places on my wooden sign. Then, I sprinkled some chunky gold glitter on top of the adhesive dots and tapped off the excess. Once you are happy with how your wooden sign looks, simply add some wire or a piece of ribbon to hang your sign, and you are done! I think a small sign like this would look so cute as part of a gallery wall, on a cork board, or even hanging in an office. If you make your own wooden sign, I highly recommend that you use Scrapbook Adhesives products. This is because there is practically no drying time and you can easily add embellishments (like glitter) without needing to wait for everything to dry.
