Gone Fishing Layout

by Paper House

Happy Saturday!! Our family has been spending a lot more time outside lately. How about yours? Today I am sharing a layout I created using some of the fun outdoor stickers and papers you can find at Paper House! Here is my layout:

I love using woodgrain paper as a background instead of cardstock on my outdoor layouts! To give even more texture to my layout I added a piece of torn paper (orange Discover USA map double sided paper) at the bottom of my layout. I used the fishing lures from the I'd Rather Be Fishing 3D stickers and Gone Fishing cardstock stickers to balance out the title and embellishment cluster at the bottom of my layout. All the lures were popped up on pop dots except for the 3D sticker to give my layout some dimension. One thing I love about many of the Paper House sticker sets is that there are several stickers that you can easily use as the title on your layout! For my layout I used the "Gone Fishing" sticker from the Gone Fishing cardstock stickers.

To balance out the layout I created another embellishment cluster on the lower left of my layout using one planner sticker (anchor) and two of the cardstock stickers and some enamel dots from my stash.

One technique I enjoy using when making embellishment clusters is to layer stickers on top of each other. Here I have placed the hat on top of the Fish Stories sign. I almost always use an odd number of embellishments as well to give a more pleasing visual look to my embellishment cluster. Once again I have used pop dots under my stickers to give a bit more dimension to my layout. Make sure and head over to the Paper House website to check out all the amazing outdoor themed papers and stickers for your next project! Happy creating!!
