Scrapbooking on a Smaller Scale

by Paper House

Have you tried scrapbooking and memory keeping using a smaller format?

I've been a traditional 12 x 12 scrapper for years, but when I started seeing smaller format notebooks,  I became interested in trying them. The Journey Books (or travelers' notebooks) by Paper House Productions are spectacular for this purpose! I love the amazing array of inserts and covers to choose from, it's hard to pick just one! Today the Stargazer collection of stickers, paper, and washi tape on my project.

I had 3 photos I wanted to use in this scrapbook layout. I chose them because some friends and I participated in a 5K walk, and our shirts matched the Stargazer collection perfectly!

I loved all of the Stargazer stickers so much I wanted to use the second page as just a fun mix of stickers and my title so I ended up making a fold-out flap to "hide" and "house" my other 2 photos. Here is a close-up:

I took a 6.25-inch x 2.5-inch piece of Stargazer Galaxy Foil paper and folded it in half so that I could mount two pictures inside and one picture on the front. I added some of the narrow washi tape to the inside edges to jazz it up and then added a faux enamel sticker to the top right corner of the third picture. I used one of the faux enamel stickers from the Stargazer collection as a little handle open and close the flap. I backed that sticker where it was still showing with white cardstock to prevent it from sticking to my project. Here is a close-up of my "handle."

I hope this inspires you to try memory keeping in a smaller format! I know once you try it you will love it as much as I do! Happy creating!
