Scrapbooking Your Big Fish Tales

by Paper House

Hello Everyone! Daisie here with a fun layout and process video featuring the Great Outdoors Fishing kit. This kit is retired but my layout will work with all types of papers and embellishments.

Please check out the newest outdoors-inspired scrapbooking products. There is more than enough to document any big fish tales you may have!

I started with a white cardstock background from my stash. I added some dark blue mist sprinkle to set the scene. I used a stock image of a fish that I found on Google for my template.  I then went to town with the papers ito create my fish.

The Gone Fishin' 12x12 paper (retired) was perfect for my fish. I chose to flip the paper the other way for the body of my fish, even though the hooks ended upside down. The belly of the fish is created with the opposite side of the paper. It has a gorgeous misty outdoor scene. I loved the color of the trees and thought it would make for a great fish belly. I finished him off with some woodgrain fins from the B-side of the Christmas Memories 12" Double Sided scrapbook paper.

I matted my photo with a thin mat cut from the Catch Of The Day paper (retired). It has colorful fishing icons all over it. While you can't quite make out what they are from the mat that I used, it helps tie in all of the colors. I added a lot of the 3D stickers as embellishments around my photo. My title came from the 12x12 sheet of stickers that come with the kit. I finished it off by bringing some more of the colors around my page with the Great Outdoors 3D scrapbook stickers. This collection is the perfect way to highlight this great catch!
