How to Create Your Own Christmas Scrapbook Kit

by Paper House

Hi, there! It’s Lynda from Scrapbook with Lynda. Today I’ll show you how to mix and match Christmas stickers and scrapbook papers to create a Christmas scrapbook kit that is perfect for sharing your favorite Christmas memories.
Paper House Productions has so many amazing themed stickers that I can always find the perfect stickers for my layouts, including this scrapbook page about my own ride on the Polar Express!

Step 1 - Select Christmas stickers for your main theme

These officially licensed Polar Express 3D Stickers are just the “ticket.” 😉 They include lots of iconic symbols from the Polar Express storybook. This helped me select just the right photos from my adventure! I also love the red glitter and gold foil accents!

Step 2 - Select additional Christmas stickers to support your theme

I want to give my page an extra Christmassy feel, so I selected another sheet of Christmas stickers that coordinate with my Polar Express stickers. I found these Merry Christmas 3D stickers in red and green, with red glitter and gold foil accents, of course!

Step 3: Select Christmas scrapbook paper for your matte and base

I love wood grain paper, so selecting the Red Wood Scrapbook Paper is a great choice. With so much going on in the photos and the bold stickers, this rustic, tone on tone design gives the eye a place to rest.

And since I’m going for that Christmassy feel, I was drawn to this cheerful Dear Santa Tags Scrapbook Paper. I selected two of this paper because I want to use both sides. One side has a perfect journaling box and phrases that will be great for embellishments. The other side has a lively print -- just the right mood for a ride on the Polar Express! It’s ideal for so many Christmas layouts, so I know I’ll be using it again!

Step 4 - Assembling your Christmas scrapbook page

If you take a lot of photos, the hardest part can be deciding which photos to use in your scrapbook layout. When I can’t decide, I don’t! I just print them smaller, and group them together in a collage. Problem solved!

Isn’t the Dear Santa journaling spot perfect for recording who, what, where, when

Tip: Adding a journal entry is always worth doing. Assuming your photo album finds its way to future generations, they will be grateful for this information, and it will help them get to “know” you. Don’t worry about perfect handwriting - it all adds personality to your page.

I'm glad I had two of the Dear Santa Tags Christmas scrapbook papers to work with, because that allowed me to use both sides of one piece and use the other as my base. The watercolor holly design adds motion, but is soft enough to not over power the Christmas stickers.

A Closer Look at the Embellishment Clusters

I layered the Merry Christmas 3D stickers with some embellishments cut from the Dear Santa Tags scrapbook paper.

I like mixing the 3D stickers with flat embellishments, because the flat elements really accent the dimension of the 3D stickers. Everything works so well together, you’d never know they are from different collections!

This Polar Express sticker is the perfect title for my page! Just look at all those layers. This layout really pops!

Here’s another example where I seamlessly married the Polar Express and Merry Christmas sticker packs to create an embellishment cluster that frames my photo. Love how these two Christmas sticker packs work together.
