Hi everyone! Valentine’s Day is almost here which means you are probably seeing bags of candy every time you turn around. If you have a sweet tooth like me, then you may be tempted to buy one or three bags of candy (on sale of course). Now, if you happen to have some candy on hand, you may be looking for a cute way to display it during the holiday season. If this is you, then you will love today’s project! In today’s project post, I am going to show you how to make a Candy Dish featuring the Sweetheart Candies Puffy Stickers! The cool thing about this project is that we are recycling an old candle jar to use as our candy dish. You may be wondering why I would use a candle jar and not a normal plastic or glass jar. Well, if you think about the past fall or winter season, you probably have several nice size candles laying around. I bet some of those candles were expensive, so why not give them new life as candy dishes. The stickers I chose to use in this project was the Sweetheart Candies Puffy Stickers. I chose to use them in this project because 1) they look like the perfect conversation heart and 2) add great dimension to the candy dish, since they are puffy stickers!

To create your own Candy Dish featuring the Sweetheart Candies Puffy Sticker, you would do the following:
Step 1
Step 1: Clean out your candle jar. Now, depending on the size and the amount of wax in your candle jar will most likely affect how you remove the wax from your jar. For my candle jar, I let my candle sit in a warm place (to soften the wax) and then carefully removed the wax with a plastic knife. After the wax was removed, I then cleaned out the candle jar using soap, water, and Goo Gone (which is perfect for removing any waxy residue).
Step 2
Step 2: Once your candle jar has been cleaned out, its now time for the fun part, decorating! Grab your Sweetheart Candies Puffy Stickers and begin playing around with how you want them to look on your candle jar. When applying your puffy stickers, think about all the different ways they could look on your candle jar. For example, you could apply the puffy stickers in a random pattern, you could just have them lining the bottom portion of the jar or apply them in rows. As you can see in the photo above, I decided to cover my entire candle jar by applying the puffy stickers in small (vertical) rows of 4. When you have added your stickers, and are happy with how your candle jar looks, you are now ready to fill it up with some delicious candy!

There is nothing better than a project that is super easy to make and is basically foolproof when recreating it! I think, besides making these candy dishes for yourself, they would make such cute gifts for your friends or co-workers. One final thing I wanted to mention was the size of the candle jar. In the last photo, I wanted to show you how this project looked on a smaller scale and with different stickers. For that candy dish, I used the Flowers Micro Stickers and apply the stickers only to ¾ of the jar. This particular style, I think would be perfect if you are considering making these for your friends this Valentine's Day season.
