World Card Making Day - Card Sketch!
It's time to celebrate World Card Making Day! October is always a month I look forward to for many reasons, but one of the reasons is World Card Making Day! I always enjoy taking one day to just create cards, I create all types of cards and usually this is when I get started on my Christmas cards! Today I have made a card sketch to help jump start your creativity in getting some cards made! Here is the sketch:
Here is a card I created based on this sketch:
The yellow Explore Your World paper is so pretty and good for more than just travel-themed projects as you can see! I have used this paper for so many things, it is my favorite paper from the Explore Your World line! I cut out the middle of my tag and used some cellophane from an old package to add to the middle of my tag just to give it some visual interest. Here is a close-up:
I popped up all the stickers on pop dots to give more texture to my card. Often when I do this with thinner planner stickers I add them first to a piece of cardstock then add the pop dots to pop them up. In the case of my "hello sunshine" sticker I added it to silver cardstock and when I cut it out I left a slight edge showing to accent the silver words even more. I added a very small star circle sticker to the top of my tag in lieu of twine or ribbon since I plan on mailing this card out to one of my friends this next week! These little planner stickers are great in place of brads on projects where you don't want the bulk!
I hope you will play along with us in honor of World Card Making Day and create a fun card using this sketch!
